Daria snatched victory from Croatian Ruzic in two difficult sets
Ukrainian tennis player Daria Snigur reached the final of the tournament ITF W75 V Ricany (Czech Republic).
The Ukrainian, seeded number one, provided decent resistance Antonia Ruzic from Croatia. The fight lasted one hour and 41 minutes.
The first set was generally under the control of Snigur. With the score 5:4, she missed a set point on her serve, but after that she managed to take two games in a row.
The second game followed an exciting scenario. Ruzic led 3:0, then Snigur won five games in a row, but could not finish the match early, and it came to a tiebreaker. There the Ukrainian acted more confidently than her opponent – 7:4.
Let us remember that in the two previous rounds Daria managed to defeat “neutral” tennis players Polina Kudermetova and Anastasia Tikhonova. In the final, our compatriot (135th racket in the world) will compete with Czech Tereza Valentova, who represents the sixth hundred in the WTA rankings.
