The four consecutive defeats suffered by the Blanquicelestes have excessively disturbed their supporters, so much so that they even corner their players while they are with their families.
It’s a fact that Lazio is not having a good time at all. At the moment, they have accumulated four consecutive defeats (three in Serie A and one in the Champions League), which currently places them in fourteenth position in the Italian first division. Added to this is the resignation of their coach, Maurizio Sarri, just a few days ago, on March 13. This set of situations seems to be taking a toll on him, as his most loyal fans retaliate against his players, this time with Ciro Immobile, the team captain.
Even the reference status he has within the club could not save the striker. This Friday, he was literally lynched by the team’s ultras along with his wife while they were taking their son to class, reported the footballers’ communications team. “This morning, Friday March 15, Ciro Immobile, his wife Jessica and their son Mattia, 4 years old, “They were verbally and physically attacked by a group of people in front of their son’s school.”
Likewise, they accuse the country’s main media in the shape of a boot. “All, Unfortunately, after the incitement to hatred mounted and sustained by some media and journalists through their social networks, who spread words of hatred against Ciro Immobile, also reporting reconstructions that were not linked to reality.
“The player has asked his lawyers to initiate criminal proceedings today against those responsible for such defamation. These comments are seriously defamatory and therefore harmful to the professional and personal image of the athlete, and will be brought to the attention of the authorities. Incitement to hatred, especially gratuitous ones, is a crime that must be punished,” they added.
Not only is the level low as a team, but individually, Immobile is not having his best moments either. In the current Serie A, he has only six goals and one assist in 24 matches played. Adding up the competition total, he only managed to score 10 goals in 35 matches played, figures much lower than in previous years.

Lose support
Without a doubt, these are rainy days for the club’s top scorer. In addition to the above, in a recent interview, the president of Lazio himself, Claudio Lotito, downplayed what happened to the player and did not put him in the role of victim. “This happens to me every day, I have been under surveillance for 20 years. Death threats come to me and my family every day. I’m president of a company with 8,000 employees, and I don’t make such a fuss…”
But that’s not all, since the 34-year-old striker is one of the main people pointed out as the cause of Sarri’s resignation from the team management, something the manager himself seems to have confirmed. “He felt a little betrayed by the behavior of some people. There is something strange within the group: a team that beats Bayern and loses to Udinese… Ask yourself a question and give yourself an answer.
