Among the four major clubs in the state, they qualified Palm trees, Santos It is São Paulo, in different circumstances. Check below the scenario for each one in the competition, the dates and times of the clashes.
PALM TREES
Unsurprisingly, the 2022 and 2023 São Paulo champion is one of the big favorites to lift the cup this year. Palmeiras was the only one among the 16 teams that went through the group stage without suffering a single defeat, with eight wins and four draws. Furthermore, Verdão has, until now, the best goal difference (11).
SANTOS
After the fall to Serie B of Brazilian championship Last year, Santos showed its promise in the Paulista group stage, with the second best campaign in the stage. In classics, Peixe triumphed over Corinthians and São Paulo, but were defeated by Palmeiras. In terms of the campaign, Alvinegro Praiano will have the most ‘calm’ opponent in the quarterfinals: Portuguesewho scored 10 points in 12 matches.
SÃO PAULO
São Paulo’s performance was the third best (behind the rivals mentioned above, in order) in the initial phase of Paulistão. Group D had the fiercest competition for classification, which meant that Tricolor only secured its place in the last round, when it beat the Ituano. Soberano, who was already champion in the year (in King Super Cupagainst Palmeiras), suffers from absences due to injuries and the next FIFA date.
