Midfielder “Luton” Luc Berry became the author of a unique feat in English football, reports the Opta statistical service.
The 31-year-old midfielder scored the goal Nottingham Forest in the 89th minute of the home match of the 29th round of the English Championship (1:1). For Berry, this goal was the first in the English Premier League. The footballer had previously scored for Luton in the three lower divisions of English football: the Championship, League One and League Two.
Berry became the first England player since at least the 2004/05 season (when statistics are available) to excel in 4 of the country’s leagues.
The midfielder has been with Luton since 2017 and has 24 goals and 16 assists in 175 games for the Hatters.
