After overcoming Jiri Lehecka in the quarterfinals in Indian Wells, Jannick will face Carlos Alcaraz, the second best in the ATP rankings. The two have been building a rivalry in recent years, with four victories for the Spaniard and three for the Italian.
“It’s always cool to play against Carlos, we’re good friends off the court. On the court, I will try to give my all. He has a great attitude and generally plays well. Last year we faced each other here and he put a lot of pressure on me, then two weeks later we played in Miami and I won. Let’s see what happens,” Sinner said.
“It’s not just Carlos, there are other players who make me grow as a tennis player. When you reach that level, you have to work and pursue different things.
