Pidgursky: Every player wants to play in European competitions, let’s see how many points Rukh will have in May

Captain Roc Denis Pidgursky shared his opinion about the victorious away match against Metallista 1925appreciated his second goal this season and talked about team goals for the season.

— How did your team manage to win a major victory in the capital of Ukraine?

— You see that recently Rukh has won several victories in a row on the road. We prepare carefully for each fight and want to win. God helped us win today. I think that if Vitaly Roman had not received a red card in this game, we would have been able to score more. But it turned out well too.

— Rukh scored four goals in 19 minutes. You don’t see this very often. In which component of the game were you stronger than your opponent?

— We use high pressure, it helps. We scored the first goal from the penalty spot, but even here the pressure helped us, there was an interception in the center of the field. After that, our enemy was confused, and we, on the contrary, began to put even more pressure. Immediately after the first goal we started scoring more, and a lot became clear in this meeting.

— ZNali about an 8-match streak without victories for Kharkov Metalist 1925?

– No. Our coaching staff simply analyzed the opponent’s game. We expected them to play as a diamond in midfield. Viktor Skripnik loves this kind of football. In fact, it is very difficult to resist such an opponent, but we were able to quickly rebuild and use our strengths.

— In a match with Metalist 1925 You scored second goal this season?

– Yes. He made a tackle in the center of the field, we went on a quick attack – three players against the opponents’ two. No one met me, all attention was on my partners. I decided to shoot from the penalty line – it turned out to be a beautiful goal.

— What did your head coach Vitaly Ponomarev talk about during the break?

“We had to stick to our line and stick to the plan for the match. Of course, we wanted to score more goals. It was important to keep your goal dry. However, Roman’s removal in the 50th minute of the game changed a lot. That’s why we played the second half differently from the first – we defended our result.

— In terms of the game, was this Rukh’s best match this season?

– Hard to say. We’ve already played a lot of good matches. It turns out that we play great on the road. I’ll remember our away victories this spring against Kolos and Dnepr-1. The fight in Zhitomir against Polesie in the first round was also memorable.

— You are now in fifth place in the UPL, and this is a European Cup place. And although your leaders say that there is no such task – priestthere is to Europe, do the players themselves want to get into the European Cups?

— Every player wants to play in European competition. Our priority now is to win every match. We’ll see at the end of May how many points we will have.
