Athletistic/Football. Spartak Moscow footballer Quincy Promes may soon encounter financial difficulties, journalist John van den Heuvel reported.

Promes was arrested in Dubai on March 13 at the request of Dutch prosecutors. In February, an Amsterdam court convicted him of drug trafficking and sentenced him to six years in prison. Promes’ defense appealed this decision. Last year, a 32-year-old Dutch man was also sentenced to 18 months in prison for attacking his cousin.

“It is possible that this matter will drag on. It is obvious that Promes wants to continue playing for a few more years in Russia. Let’s assume that his income there amounts to 10 million euros per year. Perhaps a- “Did he plan to extend his contract after all these events, end his career and earn a little more money. Now this perspective has changed dramatically,” van den Heuvel said on the De Telegraaf podcast.

“When he stops playing football, the flow of money will dry up. In addition, the Dutch courts have seized a significant part of his property. Thus, he slowly but surely finds himself in a financial crisis. Promes becomes indebted to the law. Generally speaking, “serious clouds hang over us,” added the journalist.
