Ten Hag’s team made a comeback in extra time
In the FA Cup quarter final match Manchester United beat at home in extra time Liverpool with a score of 4:3.
The Red Devils opened the scoring through Scott McTominay’s efforts, but Liverpool fought back before the break to take the lead: Alexis McAllister scored first, and then Mohamed Salah scored his next goal. In the second half, both teams could not score again for a long time, until at the end of the game Anthony sent the game into extra time.
In extra time, the principal rivals continued their scoring extravaganza. Jurgen Klopp’s side initially took the lead thanks to a goal from Harvey Elliott late in the first overtime. But in the second overtime, the Red Devils snatched victory through the efforts of Marcus Rashford and Amad Diallo, who received a red card after scoring a goal.
Manchester United are the latest FA Cup semi-finalists. Previously, Coventry, Manchester City and Chelsea qualified for the 1/2 finals.
In the next match of the English Championship, Manchester United will play against Brentford, and Liverpool will play with Brighton.
