The Ukrainian women’s hockey team defeated Croatia at the 2024 World Championship and was promoted to Division IIIB

The blue-and-yellows won all five matches at the tournament, the last two by big scores

Ukrainian women’s national ice hockey team crushed Croatia in the final round World Cup 2024 in Division IIIA – 6:1.

At first, the match was not easy for the blue-yellows. The hosts of the match managed to win the first period thanks to a goal from Diana Stolar.

Later everything fell into place. The Ukrainians quickly led the way through the efforts of Alexandra Mashkina and Polina Telegina. Then Valeria Manchak-Jensen (the top scorer of the tournament) and Antonina Roganova brought the score to a major one.

In the third period, the Ukrainian team finally secured the victory thanks to a double performed by Victoria Tsenova.

Thus, Ukraine won five victories in five meetings (one of them in overtime), scored 14 points, won division IIIA and received the right to promotion. Next year, for the first time in 5 years, the Ukrainian women’s team will play in Division IIIB.
