The Ukrainian midfielder was replaced in the 78th minute in the match against Leicester
Mentor Chelsea Mauricio Pochettino commented on the situation with the replacement Mikhail Mudrik in the FA Cup quarter final match with Leicester (4:2).
“I’m not here to do what people want. And I’m not stupid either. I saw Mudrik, we analyzed that he was tired. We thought that maybe he wouldn’t finish the game, and then we decided to make a substitution.”
“This is because we need to see everything: we are professionals and we want to win, but, of course, fully understand the situation. We will support Mikhail, we will support Rahim, and we will support all the players in the big team.”
Chelsea’s Ukrainian midfielder started for his team and was replaced in the 78th minute. In total, Mudryk has played 30 matches for the Londoners this season, scoring six goals and providing three assists.
Chelsea will play current trophy holders Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals. In the Premier League standings, Pochettino’s team is in 11th position.
