The famous racing driver has long dreamed of investing in the football business.

Race driver Pierre Gaslyplaying for the team Alpin V Formula 1became a co-owner of a French football club Versailles.

The 28-year-old athlete became the third partner-owner of a club from the Ile-de-France region, along with Alexandre Mulier (grandson of the founder of Auchan, who holds the position of president of the FC) and Fabien Lazare.

FC Versailles 78 plays in the Division National, the third highest level in the French football structure. Its main strategy is “training and developing talent.” The club is famous for its academy, whose graduates include, among others, Thierry Henry, Jerome Roten and Hatem Ben Arfa.

In 2022, Versailles created a sensation by reaching the semi-finals of the French Cup, where they lost to Nice.
