Tomorrow, March 19, there will be a second friendly match between these teams
Ukrainian women’s futsal team conceded Italy in sparring – 2:4. The control match took place in the Italian city of Taranto.
Oleg Shaitanov’s team played the first match in 2024 in preparation for the 2025 World Cup qualification.
The hosts took the lead twice, the blue-yellows twice equalized thanks to goals from Yulia Forsyuk. And yet the Italians managed to snatch victory at the end of the meeting.
Repeated sparring between the same teams will take place tomorrow, March 19. Starts at 20:00 Kyiv time.
The first ever Women’s Futsal World Cup will take place in 2025. A total of 16 teams will take part in the tournament, with 4 quotas allocated to Europe.
European qualification will take place from April 2024 to April 2025. The selection will take place in two rounds, each of which will be a mini-tournament on one site. In the main round, 24 teams (including the Ukrainian team) will be divided into six quartets. The group winners and (if necessary) the best second-place team will advance to the elite round.
