The draw for the Libertadores 2024 group stage will be held by Conmebol on the night of this Monday, 18th, at 8pm (Brasília time), at the Conmebol headquarters, in Luque, Paraguay. The entity will define the eight brackets for the main club competition on the continent.
Brazil has seven representatives in the group stage in this edition of the tournament: Fluminense (current champion), Palm trees, Flamengo, Guild, São Paulo, Atlético-MG It is Botafogo.

How it works
The 32 classified teams are separated into four pots to divide the brackets. The clubs, previously guaranteed at this stage, were allocated according to their position in the Conmebol ranking.
Eight teams are in pot 1, the next eight occupy pot 2, and so on. The four classified by the pre-Libertadores (Botafogo, Palestinian, National It is Colo-Colo) were, necessarily, in the last pot, 4.
It is worth remembering that clubs from the same country cannot face each other in the group stage. However, there is the exception of teams coming from the preview, such as Botafogo, which can fall into the same bracket as a Brazilian, for example.
