The Ukrainian youth team will hold a control match on March 22
Head coach Ukrainian national team U-21 Unai Melgosa said that he plans to test as many players as possible in a test match with Morocco. The youth team will hold sparring before the qualifying match for the 2025 European Championship with Azerbaijan.
“We formed the final application after it was clear which players would go to the national team. We also took into account which potential candidates were injured. I hope that everyone included in the final application will be healthy.”
“We will work together all week in Antalya, we will play a friendly game against Morocco U-23. Of course, we will also watch the match between Azerbaijan and England, but not live, but on video.”
“This match is important also because we have a good opponent. And the players must prove themselves. We want to give them this opportunity. I would like to test as many performers as possible on the field in this match.”
Unai Melosa’s team will hold a sparring match with the Moroccan U-21 team on March 22. The away qualifying match for Euro 2025 with Azerbaijan will take place on March 26.
The Ukrainian U-21 national team holds the lead in Group F of the 2025 European Championship selection, three points ahead of England. Let us note that Unai Melgosa’s team achieved five victories in five rounds.
