The midfielder expects a difficult match with Bosnia and Herzegovina in the qualifying playoffs for Euro 2024
Midfielder Ukrainian national team Alexander Pikhalenok appreciated the team’s preparation for the match with Bosnia and Herzegovina in the semi-finals of the qualifying playoffs European Championship 2024.
“I would rate our preparation as good. We played a two-way game, there was a lot of theory, and a lot was worked out in training. There were both loads and recession. I think we will approach the match in optimal condition.”
“Bosnia and Herzegovina is a very powerful, unyielding team, like all Balkans. They will fight from the first to the last minute, trying to get to the Euro. But if we put in our best effort in this match, we should succeed. We must be focused on our own game. There is no underestimation at all, it will be a very difficult fight.”
On March 21, Bosnia and Herzegovina will host Ukraine in the semi-finals of the Euro 2024 qualifying playoffs in the city of Zenica at the Bilino Pole stadium. Starts at 20:45 local time (21:45 Kyiv time). The match will be officiated by a German team of referees led by Felix Zweier.
If successful, Ukraine will meet the winner of the Israel-Iceland confrontation. The final match will be a “home” match for the blue-yellows and will take place on March 26 in Wroclaw, Poland.
The final part of Euro 2024 will be held in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024. The matches of the European Championship will be held in arenas in Berlin, Cologne, Dortmund, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich and Stuttgart.
