Kolos: The club management fully trusts head coach Vishnyak and his staff

The team from Kovalivka lost the last three matches in the UPL

FC Kolos made an official statement, responding to rumors about possible changes in the team’s coaching staff.

“The other day, some media outlets spread false information about possible changes in the coaching staff of our main team, including negotiations with candidates for the position of head coach.

FC Kolos (Kovalivka) emphasizes that the club made its choice consciously and the management fully trusts the current head coach and the team’s coaching staff.

We are working fruitfully to make our club stronger and the results will definitely come! Together to new victories and the victory of Ukraine!”

The head coach of Kolos was and remains 41-year-old Yaroslav Vishnyak. He played for the club from Kovalivka as a defender (2014 – 2018), and immediately after finishing his career he began working as an assistant to head coach Ruslan Kostyshin. Since 2021, Yaroslav has headed Kolos with the prefix “i.” o.”, and since the summer of 2022 he has been in charge on a permanent basis.

At the end of the 2022/23 season, Vishniac’s team finished in 9th place in the UPL. This season Kolos occupies the same ninth position, scoring 24 points in 20 matches. The Kovaliv team lost their last three matches, including to the leaders Shakhtar and Kryvbas.

Vishniac’s assistants are recent Kolos players Vitaly Gavrish and Evgeniy Novak. The coaching staff also includes, among others, ex-football players of Dynamo and Dnepr Vyacheslav Kernozenko and Vitaly Mandzyuk.

Kolos will play its next match on March 31 at home against SK Dnepr-1.
