The professional commanded the confrontation between the Merengues and the Osasunaand would have neglected the insults to the Brazilian.

Our club filed a complaint with the Disciplinary Committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation against referee Juan Martínez Munuera, due to negligence in preparing the referee’s report. This referee voluntarily and deliberately omitted the insults and humiliating shouts repeatedly directed at our player Vinicius Junior, despite having been insistently warned by our players at the same time they were occurring“, stated Real Madrid in part of the published statement.

Furthermore, the club also filed a complaint against the State Attorney General’s Office, seeking to highlight that it took the complaint to the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport in Spain.

The cases have become increasingly common, given the impunity of the attackers, and Madrid had already filed a complaint against the chants of Atlético de Madrid fans, before the Champions League game.
