Kucher: In my question about debts from Dnepr-1, nothing has been considered yet

Dnipro, according to the coach, should have paid off their debts before mid-October

Former head coach Dnepra-1 Alexander Kucher stated that the decision of the UAF dispute resolution chamber on the payment of debts from the Dnieper club was not made due to the lack of work of the UAF commission itself.

“Last year, I filed a claim for Dnepr-1’s debt to me – three months’ wages and bonuses for second place in the 2022/23 season. However, nothing has been addressed on this issue yet. As I understand it, the UAF Dispute Resolution Chamber is not working yet. Therefore, I’m waiting for its employees to hold a meeting at which some decision will be made regarding me.

“Within one month after signing an agreement with the club to resolve all financial issues, Dnepr-1 was obliged to pay me the entire amount of the debt by October 15, 2023, but this did not happen.”

Let us remind you that after the defeat from Obolon in the fourth round of the UPL 2023/24, Alexander Kucher, together with his staff, resigned from the post of head coach. Valery Gorodov became the temporary coach, and in mid-September the team was headed by Yuri Maksimov.

With Kucher, the Dnipro team became vice-champions of Ukraine last season. However, the 2023/24 European Cup campaign was extremely unsuccessful for Kucher’s team. Dnepr-1 first lost to Panathinaikos in the Champions League qualification, then lost to Slavia Prague in the Europa League qualification, and then failed to get past Spartak (Trnava) in the Conference League.

Let us remind you that another former coach of Dnepr-1, Igor Jovichevich, previously filed a similar lawsuit due to non-payment of bonuses for a prize-winning place in the UPL. FIFA imposed a transfer ban on the Dnipro team over this case. However, in February the debts to the Croat were repaid, so the ban was lifted from Dnepr-1.

For a similar reason, Kucher filed a lawsuit against the club in the UAF Dispute Resolution Chamber. The coach also stated that there are debts to the team’s players.

Dnepr-1 with 39 points is in third place in the UPL standings. In the next match, Yuri Maximov’s team will play against Kolos on March 31.
