The coach noted that all players in the team are preparing for the match without injury
Head coach Ukrainian national team Sergey Rebrov commented on the upcoming match against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the qualifying playoffs European Championship 2024.
“I know Savo Milosevic very well because I played with him. He is a very good person. But I don’t know him as a coach. He hasn’t played many matches in charge of the national team, and in the upcoming game he will use a lot of new players. I respect Savo, but we will do different jobs tomorrow, we will not be friends on the field. And before and after the game I wish him all the best.”
“I haven’t seen Savo’s latest interviews [где он говорил о возвращении российских футболистов]. If he said something like that, then I will remind him that there is a war going on in our country. But now it’s more important for us to prepare for tomorrow’s game than to talk about it.”
“Tsygankov’s condition? Let’s see, we have one more day. Victor is with us, he is an important player for us. But we have 28 players at our disposal. We all hope that Tsygankov will return as soon as possible.”
“I expect a tough game because we will be playing away. It doesn’t matter how the Bosnia and Herzegovina team played in qualifying. We are preparing for a difficult match against a good team, with good players, but we must be focused on our game.”
“There have been no injuries over the past week, all the players are preparing for the match. For me, the most difficult thing is always to determine which players will not make the cut. It’s very difficult because I see the training process. All the guys are doing a good job, it won’t be an easy decision.”
On March 21, Bosnia and Herzegovina will host Ukraine in the semi-finals of the Euro 2024 qualifying playoffs in the city of Zenica at the Bilino Pole stadium. Starts at 20:45 local time (21:45 Kyiv time). The match will be officiated by a German team of referees led by Felix Zweier.
If successful, Ukraine will meet the winner of the Israel-Iceland confrontation. The final match will be a “home” match for the blue-yellows and will take place on March 26 in Wroclaw, Poland.
The final part of Euro 2024 will be held in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024. The matches of the European Championship will be held in arenas in Berlin, Cologne, Dortmund, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich and Stuttgart.
