The mentor terminated the contract with the club by agreement of the parties
Famous Brazilian trainer Luiz Felipe Scolari left the post of mentor Atlético Mineiro. The coach terminated his contract with the club early by agreement of the parties.
Scolari took charge of Atletico Mineiro last summer, signing a contract until the end of 2024. Under his leadership, the club took third place in the Brazilian Serie A.
“Felipao” is known for his work with the Brazilian national team, with which he became the world champion in 2022. The coach was also twice champion of Brazil (with Gremio and Palmeiras) and won the Copa Libertadores twice (with Gremio and Palmeiras). In 2022, Scolari already announced his retirement from coaching, but returned to work.
Atlético Mineiro will next play against Cruzeiro on March 30 in the Mineiro Championship final. The new season in the Brazilian Serie A starts on April 13.
