The Shakhtar player, along with a teammate, organized an independent volunteer support.
During the war, the Ukrainians rallied very loudly and everyone tried to help each other. Shakhtar midfielder Georgy Sudakov spoke about it in an interview on Football 1/2/3 TV channels.
According to the footballer, he also did not step aside, and was trying to help everyone affected by the Russian aggression in any way he could.
Together with his friend Mikhail Mudrik, he organized independent volunteer support.
“Since my husband is in position, we still have plans to give birth in Kyiv. But once, the management of Shakhtar called and said we had to leave Kyiv. We were lucky, people helped us, found shelter and took shelter with us here in Lviv.
At first, for the first five days, we did nothing, we sat in the apartment and didn’t go anywhere. We didn’t understand what to do, because it was so scary. Then we realize that life goes on and something needs to be done.
My friend Mikhail Mudrik and I decided to organize independent voluntary support. We buy food, help those in need, medicines. We tried our best to help those in need.
Obviously we didn’t have any good opportunities, but at least we helped some people with drugs and products, ”Sudakov said.
