Spanish prosecutors have issued an arrest warrant for Luis Rubiales over alleged financial irregularities within the RFEF

The Spanish prosecutor’s office has issued an arrest warrant against the former president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Luis Rubiales, reports Onda Сero.

The warrant was issued as part of an investigation into alleged illegal contracts over the past five years. According to the source, six other members of the RFEF have already been arrested and will appear in court tomorrow. These arrests follow searches carried out on Wednesday at the federation’s headquarters in Las Rozas (Madrid province) and at Rubiales’ home in Granada.

The RFEF, in its statement, offered its full cooperation to law enforcement.
