Secretary General of the Russian Football Union (RFUs ) Maxim Mitrofanov spoke about the negotiations regarding a friendly match between the national teams of Russia and Uruguay.
The Russian national team will face the Serbian team on Thursday, and the meeting with the Paraguayan national team will take place on March 25. Both matches will take place at the Dynamo Stadium in Moscow.
— We were negotiating here with Uruguay about a friendly match with the Russian national team. Uruguay were ready to play with us, but they wanted to play two matches during this break and could not find a second opponent who would be close to us. There was an option with Turkey, which we recommended to them, so they could come to us from there. But unfortunately it didn’t work. Are we going to play after a while? I don’t know,” Championship quotes Mitrofanov.
