Athletistic / Football. On March 21, a friendly match between the Russian and Serbian national teams will take place on the VTB Arena field in Moscow. This will be the first meeting for Valery Karpin’s team in 2024.
The starting whistle of the main referee of the match, Arda Kardeshler, will sound at 20:00 Moscow time. In Russia, the meeting will be broadcast live on the federal television channel “Match TV”, as well as on its channel official site.
Note that the Athletistic site will host an online text broadcast of the meeting between the Russians and the Serbs.
The Russian and Serbian national teams have faced each other six times in recent history (after the collapse of the USSR and Yugoslavia). At the moment, Russian footballers have won three victories, twice the matches ended in a draw, and once again the Serbs celebrated their success.
It is worth noting that the Russian team will play its first match with the European team since November 2021. Over the past two and a half years, the Russians, due to FIFA and UEFA sanctions, have not played only friendly matches with opponents from Asia, Africa and North America.
