The Ukrainian lost the first game and came back from 3:5 in the second
Ukrainian tennis player Angelina Kalinina reached the third round of the tournament WTA 1000 in American Miami.
Kalinina beat former world number one Caroline Wozniacki from Denmark in a tense match. The three-set match lasted three hours and 17 minutes.
Wozniacki won the first set, winning the winning point on the Ukrainian’s serve. Caroline led in the second game with a score of 5:3, but Angelina turned the tide of the game. Kalinina won four games in a row, and then put the finishing touches on her opponent in the deciding set.
Angelina was seeded 32nd at the Miami tournament. In the third round, the Ukrainian will play with the winner of the meeting between Paola Badosa (Spain) and Aryna Sabalenka.
