After Nikolai Matvienko’s own goal at the end of the meeting, Roman Yaremchuk and Artem Dovbik scored
Ukrainian national team on the road won a strong-willed victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina in the semi-finals of the qualifying playoffs European Championship 2024 – 2:1.
In the first half, Sergei Rebrov’s team had the majority of the ball, but practically did not threaten the opponents’ goal. The hosts scored with counterattacks, which also did not bother Andrei Lunin.
At the beginning of the second half, the Bosnians succeeded in their attack, during which Nikolai Matvienko cut the ball into his own goal. The Ukrainians managed to equalize the score at the end of normal time thanks to a goal from Roman Yaremchuk. And three minutes later, Yaremchuk made an effective cross to Artem Dovbik, which brought the blue-yellows victory.
In the qualifying final, Sergei Rebrov’s team will play against Iceland. The nominally home match for Ukraine will take place in Wroclaw, Poland, on March 26.
