Khusrav “liked” a post about the victory of the Russian team in sparring against Serbia
Donetsk midfielder Shakhtar and the national team Tajikistan Khusrav Toirov got into an unpleasant situation.
Midfielder Gornyakov “liked” a post on the social network Instagram about the Russian team’s victory over the Serbian team (4:0). Let us note that Russian football teams and clubs have been suspended from all official international tournaments due to the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian army. UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin said that representatives of the Russian Federation will be under a UEFA ban until the end of hostilities in Ukraine.
Fans reacted to Toirov’s actions, and Shakhtar also responded to the footballer’s misconduct, declaring his behavior “unacceptable.” The midfielder will be fined a month’s salary, which will be transferred to support one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Shakhtar announced the signing of 19-year-old Toirov on March 1. The player has a contract until 2028. The midfielder’s last club was Atyrau. Khusrav has not played a single match for the Donetsk club this season.
Shakhtar leads the UPL with 43 points. Marino Pusic’s team is ahead of Krivbass in terms of additional indicators, having played two matches less. In the next round, Shakhtar will play against Obolon on March 30.
