On March 26, Sergei Rebrov’s team will compete with Iceland
Team delegation Ukraine football arrived in Poland.
Sergei Rebrov’s team arrived in Poznan, where they will hold several training sessions in the town of Opalenica. Three days later, the blue-yellows will move to Trzebnica, where they will hold their final training session before the final match of the March training camp.
Ukraine in a strong-willed manner defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina (2:1) in the semi-finals of the play-off qualifying for the 2024 European Championship. At the beginning of the second half, the Bosnians succeeded in their attack, during which Nikolai Matvienko cut the ball into his own goal. The Ukrainians managed to equalize the score at the end of normal time thanks to a goal from Roman Yaremchuk. And three minutes later, Yaremchuk made an effective cross to Artem Dovbik, which brought the blue-yellows victory.
The rival of Rebrov’s team in the fight for a ticket to the European championship will be the Icelandic team. Åge Hareide’s team, with a hat-trick from Albert Gudmundsson and a goal from Arnor Traustason, defeated Israel 4:1.
Ukraine’s nominally “home” match with Iceland will take place in Wroclaw, Poland, on March 26. The meeting starts at 21:45 Kyiv time. The winner of the confrontation will advance to the 2024 European Championship, where they will play in a quartet with Belgium, Slovakia and Romania.
Euro 2024 will take place in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024. The matches of the European Championship will be held in arenas in Berlin, Cologne, Dortmund, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich and Stuttgart.
