In a press conference at CT Carlos Castilho, Fernando Diniz apologized to journalists for his speech after Carioca’s semi-final elimination
This Thursday, 21st, Fernando Diniz attended a press conference at CT Carlos Castilhothe first since the elimination in Carioca Championshipagainst Flamengo. Thus, before answering journalists’ questions, the coach made a speech apologizing to the press for his aggressive stance in the last meeting, after the draw at Fla-Flu.
“I want to apologize for the aggressive tone with which I addressed myself at times, and also for the generalizations I made to the press. I gave it a generalization, which I don’t like. I have a relationship (with the press) that I consider very positive, even special”, declared Fernando Diniz.
In the last press conference, the Fluminense coach was irritated by the criticism of the team’s lineups. Thus, Diniz ended up generalizing the journalists who sector the Tricolor with an unfortunate phrase. “They keep creating types of things. Everything fake tricolor with a little blog, thinking it’s being very successful”, he stated.
Thus, this Thursday, the 21st, Diniz went back and understood his mistake. “Since 2019, when I worked here for the first time, and then on my return in 2022. There are many here who are very serious, very good. Some tricolors, others not, but they cover Fluminense and football very seriously”said the commander.
Furthermore, Fernando Diniz spoke about the “bloggers” he referred to. Despite considering the generalization an error, he went on to say that there are people who take advantage of certain moments in the club’s coverage. “And bloggers too. A lot of serious people, and a lot of people who take advantage of the bad moment to create things that I think are unnecessary for Fluminense and the football environment as a whole”, finished.
