Head of the National Football League (FNL) Clou Izmailov told that the March 23 and 24 First and Second League matches in Moscow and the Moscow region had been canceled.
Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced on his Telegram channel that all sporting, cultural and other public events planned in the capital on Saturday and Sunday had been canceled.
“We are canceling matches in Moscow and the region,” Izmailov told .
During the weekend, the matches “Torpedo” – “Kuban” (First League), “Veles” – “Novosibirsk”, “Rodina-2” – “Ufa” and “Dynamo” (Bryansk) – “Irtysh” ( all in the Second League).
On Friday evening, unknown assailants opened fire on the Crocus town hall in Krasnogorsk, near Moscow, where a concert by the band Picnic was to take place. According to preliminary data from the Central Election Commission of the FSB, the terrorist attack has currently left 40 dead and more than 100 injured. A violent fire broke out in the building. The Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia has opened criminal proceedings regarding the terrorist attack.
