Lunin received an offer to move to Manchester United – media

The Red Devils are counting on the Ukrainian as their main goalkeeper

Ukrainian goalkeeper Real Madrid Andrey Lunin received an offer from Manchester United. The Red Devils are counting on the Ukrainian as their main goalkeeper.

It is reported that Lunin has not yet decided on his future. His contract with Blancos runs until the summer of 2025. Madrid want to extend the agreement, or sell the Ukrainian in the current transfer window.

Earlier it was reported that Real intends to speed up the negotiation process on extending the contract with the Ukrainian against the backdrop of Thibaut Courtois’ re-departure for a long period. According to some reports, the Belgian will be out for two to four months. Because of this, the club is even considering inviting David De Gea as a free agent in the summer.

The new agreement will increase wages and stipulate a guaranteed number of games that the Ukrainian will play per season. At the same time, Lunin will be the reserve goalkeeper, while the “first number” should remain with Courtois.

This season, Lunin played 23 matches (10 clean sheets, 19 goals conceded) for Blancos in all tournaments. With Real Madrid, Andrei won seven trophies, including La Liga, the Champions Cup and the Club World Cup.

Real are confidently leading La Liga, ahead of Barcelona and Girona. Also, Carlo Ancelotti’s team continues to play in the Champions League 2023/24. The Spanish giants will face Manchester City in the quarter finals of the tournament.
