The fight will take place on the undercard of the fight between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol
Mandatory challenger for IBF title Filip Hrgovic (17-0, 14 KOs) and British heavyweight Daniel Dubois (20-2, 19 KOs) are finalizing a deal for a fight scheduled to take place on June 1.
The fight is scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia. The Hrgovic-Dubois fight will take place on the undercard of the fight between WBC, WBO and IBF champion Artur Beterbiev against WBO champion Dmitry Bivol for the title of absolute light heavyweight champion.
Dubois knocked out Jarrell Miller in December 2023 at the Day of Reckoning boxing event. Before this, in August, Daniel had a fight with Alexander Usyk in Wroclaw at the Tarczynski Arena. In the ninth round, the Ukrainian world heavyweight champion WBA/WBO/IBO/IBF managed to knock out the Briton.
Hrgovic, as part of the same boxing evening in Riyadh on December 23 last year, defeated Mark De Mori from Australia by technical knockout in the first round. It was reported that the Croatian could hold a title fight with former world champion Anthony Joshua after the meeting between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.
