“The war turned life upside down. This, I think, happened to many Ukrainians, but both Kharkovs have a “slightly” different situation. In the first month of the war, my family and I spent time in Kharkov. Saw We have almost everything. Rockets, shelling, aviation, combat of local importance.

Friends came to us from the city. We spent some time in the basement. When it calmed down, we went to our military to help build all kinds of fortifications. Tried to help. However, one day our feminine side couldn’t take it anymore, and we left.
First there is Poltava. Then we visited Kremenchug – stayed with Sergei Seleznev. Further – to Igor Bazhan in Kropyvnytskyi, and stopped in Vinnitsa – to Oleg Ostapenko’s. This is where we live now.
Today I am not in contact with anyone from Russia. There is no desire to associate with those who do not even trust their friends or relatives. I usually want to forget about such a country. Forever and ever.
I’m sorry that earlier I was a bit shy to speak Ukrainian. I don’t want to mix up the words. Now I have completely switched to my mother tongue. I read, listen, watch – everything is in Ukrainian. And Russian, I hope, no one will remember later. There is no place for these scoundrels in the civilized world,” said Goryainov.
