“It’s the worst of all”

In an interview with ‘Abre Aspas’, from ‘GE’, Anderson Daronco spoke about his career and chose the most complicated classic to referee in Brazilian football

Anderson Daronco He is one of the main referees in Brazilian football, having been scheduled to referee big games for a few years now. Thus, with experience in most of Brazil’s classics, the gaucho spoke about the most complicated match to referee, in an interview with ‘Abre Aspas’, on ‘GE’.

Having been born in Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, the referee has always lived with the Gre-Nal rivalry and, as a professional, had the opportunity to be in charge of some classics. “(Gre-Nal) It’s the worst of all, it’s the most difficult. Due to the rivalry, it is very big”revealed Daronco.

Despite Gre-Nal being the most complicated in the Gaucho’s opinion, Daronco opened up about other clashes that tend to be difficult. “I’ve refereed all the Brazilian football classics. And I think that after Gre-Nal, comes, at least from the experiences I’ve had, Atlético-MG x Cruzeiro. It was very difficult to play in that game too. And Corinthians x Palmeiras too”, he stated.

Of all the referees he mentioned, he did not highlight any Rio rivalry, which attracted attention. “I did Fla-Flu, Vasco x Flamengo, Fluminense x Botafogo. I found it a little more ‘calm’. Of course, it all depends on the moment, the teams, what it’s worth”, said.
