How Canaries spend a week after the first match of the second round of Champions League qualification

On Wednesday, July 27, Dynamo and Fenerbahce in Istanbul will play the second leg of the second round of the Champions League qualification. After a goalless draw in the first match, held on July 20 in Lodz, the winner of the confrontation will be determined at the Şükrü Saracoglu Stadium. Sport Arena tells how Fenerbahce spent the week between two matches against Dynamo.

Not a day without training

Fenerbahce began preparations for the second leg the very next day after the first game – on July 21. The team arrived at their base, where the players who played in the match against Dynamo were recovering. The players who did not take the field in the duel with the white-blues had a training session under the guidance of Jorge Jesus. Luis Gustavo and Hakan Yandash worked on an individual program.

It is noteworthy that Fener spent some of his training at the Sükrü Saracoglu stadium. Tomorrow the Canaries have their last training session in preparation for the return game against Dynamo.

First loss

Most likely, the return match with Dynamo will be missed by the central defender of the Canaries Serdar Aziz, who was injured in the first game with the people of Kiev. According to the results of an MRI done in one of the clinics in Istanbul, Aziz was found to have a torn thigh muscle. And although the operation was not required, the player continues to recover, training according to an individual program.

“I came to a very big club and I am very happy. This is a step forward in my career and I think I made the best choice,” said Pedro, who signed a three-year contract with the Canaries.

Star birthdays

On Sunday, Fenerbahce celebrated two birthdays of its stars at once. On this day, the Portuguese coach of the Canaries Jorge Jesus celebrated his 68th birthday, and the winger and once Turkish football star Emre Mor celebrated his 25th birthday. Both of them were congratulated at the club base, “handing over” also “branded” cakes.

Tickets for Dynamo from 370 to 7,820 hryvnia

On Monday, Fenerbahce also sent tickets for the return match against Dynamo to free sale. Admittedly, prices bite, although their range is quite wide. Ticket price from 270 to 7 820 hryvnia. But knowing the fanaticism of Turkish fans and their love for their club, there is no doubt: almost 48,000th Sükrü Saracoglu will be filled on Wednesday.

Championship start

And already nine days after the return match with Dinamo Fenerbahce, the start of the new national championship will begin. On August 5, the Canaries will play at home with Superleague newcomer Umraniyespor, and on August 13 they will play away with Kasimpasa.
