Krasnodar has scored 39 points in 20 matches this season and is in second place in the Russian Championship standings. The Bulls are one point behind current national champions Zenit St. Petersburg. Until the end of the season, Krasnodar will be led by Murad Musaev, who previously worked as the head coach of the Bulls.
Spartak is led by Spaniard Guillermo Abascal. The red-whites occupy sixth place in the RPL ranking with 31 points.
