According to lawyers, Promes’ lawyers can delay the extradition process indefinitely by filing constant appeals.
“From what I understand, Promes could be sentenced to a long stay in a Dubai prison. His football career is probably already over. There is a very high probability that such an outcome will happen.
It seems his plan was to serve his prison sentence after finishing his football career, but things took a completely different direction,” Kapteins said, as quoted by RB Sport.
