Athletistic/Football. Journalist of the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf Jeroen Kapteins expressed the opinion that Spartak striker Quincy Promes will probably never return to the football field.

The red and white player was recently arrested in Dubai, where the team was training, and is currently awaiting extradition to the Netherlands, where he was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison for his involvement in drug trafficking and for stabbing his cousin. According to lawyers, Promes’ lawyers can delay the extradition process indefinitely by filing constant appeals.

“From what I understand, Promes could be sentenced to a long stay in a Dubai prison. His football career is probably already over. There is a very high probability that such an outcome will happen.

It seems his plan was to serve his prison sentence after finishing his football career, but things took a completely different direction,” Kapteins said, as quoted by RB Sport.
