Argentinian midfielder “Rubin” Valentin Vada spoke on MATCH PRIME about his move to the Kazan club and stressed the importance of finishing the season in the RPL WORLD as high as possible in the standings.
The 28-year-old footballer became a Rubin player in September 2023, signing a two-year contract.
— There have been contacts, but I have not received any specific proposals. Although there was still another option, at that time Rubin’s athletic director called me and I immediately decided to play here. I am very happy that this transition has taken place. Rubin is a great club with a great history. There were also calls from Russian teams, but I chose Rubin and now I’m trying to help the club.
It turns out that in the new club I score quite quickly. This was the case in previous teams. I was very happy, because my goal was the match winner against Fakel and brought us three points. I’m happy that we managed to score then, but it wasn’t a coincidence. The most important thing is the team’s accomplishments. It is important that the club finishes the season as high as possible,” Wada said in MATCH FIRST’s “Our Foreigners” show.
This season, Vada has appeared in 14 matches in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
