Two months after taking over as president of Vasco, Pedrinho gave his first press conference and opened up about his relationship with the SAF
This Wednesday, 27th, Pedrinho held his first press conference after being elected president of the Vasco, even though he took office at the end of January this year. In the president’s view, his relationship with the SAF that manages the club is more distant than he expected, which is strange.
“It also makes me strange. When I was a communicator, I was approached by the SAF to hold an important, paid position in sports. When I ran as a candidate and was elected, as well as being a partner, the obvious reasoning was that we would have a close relationship in relation to the sports aspect. I can’t have forgotten some content focused on football in three months”, said Pedro.
With Vasco going through a complicated moment and with a long season ahead, Pedrinho revealed that he is not having much interference in the club’s football issues, even though he believes he could help in this regard. “I’m not bothered that I’m not participating in football, I’m bothered that I could be helping,” he stated.
Furthermore, the agent said that he did not participate in the processes of assembling the squad and strategy in the sports environment for the season. “I wasn’t part of the hirings, layoffs and everything. I’m not running away from responsibilities, if I left where I left, I knew the responsibilities. Unfortunately, I do not participate in the processes. But I would like to be charged for what I participate in”he revealed.
Again, Pedrinho stated that he is unable to talk about the club’s signings, as he has no information and did not participate in conversations with the SAF. “About hiring, I can’t talk. Only if I leave and become a commentator again (laughs). But I really respect all the athletes there.”joked the president of Vasco.
