Defending the victim of Daniel Alves appealed the decision to grant provisional release to the full-back. After paying bail of 1 million euros and handing over his passport, the athlete left the Brians 2 penitentiary.
In the appeal filed by Ester Garcia, lawyer for the young woman raped by Alves, the player’s likelihood of escape was highlighted. The same argument was reinforced by the Spanish Public Prosecutor’s Office, which also requested the annulment of provisional release.
García highlighted that Daniel does not have sufficient ties with Spain and does not have sufficient financial conditions to leave the Iberian country. Still according to the defender, the full-back’s property in Barcelona does not prove a link with the European State.
