Calabria: “For me Milan is everything, until now it has been my life. Sign for life? Why not”

Long interview with Milan defender and captain Davide Calabria, into the microphones of RadioTV Serie A. It all starts with the passion for the Rossoneri club and the sacrifices that must be made in Serie A: “For me, Milan is everything, it has been my life until now. I grew up in Milan. With my family, I went to the stadium with them even before I put on this T-shirt. My first time at San Siro was a Champions League match, I was six years old. It was an incredible Milan, one of the best teams in the history of football. I had a poster of Kaka with his classic celebration with his fingers raised to the sky. I also had a few non-original T-shirts, because at that time I could only afford them, but I would say that over time I was able to Kaka was an outstanding player, one of my favorites along with Shevchenko: idols help you dream, you hope to achieve them level. I always dreamed of becoming a Serie A footballer, I had great confidence in my abilities: I think so. allowed me to stand out from other guys who were perhaps more talented than me. We have a great job, but I also had to make sacrifices. As a teenager, I gave up my life, I was limited compared to other children: I grew up quickly. There are many privileges in the life of a footballer, but reaching a certain level is not a given and you are faced with situations that are not easy for a child to cope with. My family was ordinary: my father was a bricklayer, my mother a worker. Being able to help them financially is a great satisfaction. They taught me to work hard, even the expenses were high because I had to constantly travel from Brescia to Milan. The fundamental figure was my mother, because she often followed me and, I think, she sacrificed many hours for me: everything that I have today, I owe to her. The first year at Milan was difficult, I often missed my family, but then I got used to it.”
