Ryatuvalnyk withdrew from the Ukrainian Futsal Championship and Cup

The reason is the intensification of Russian military aggression in the border territories of Ukraine

The Futsal Association of Ukraine reported that MFC Ryatuvalnyk (Romny, Sumy region) completed his participation in the Ukrainian Championship and Cup of the 2023/24 season ahead of schedule.

The reason for the club’s withdrawal from the competition is that the players and staff of the IFC Ryatuvalnyk belong to the Interregional Rapid Response Center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and their transfer to a state of full combat readiness, due to the intensification of the military aggression of the terrorist country in the border territories of Ukraine.

MFK Ryatuvalnyk will be given two technical defeats with a score of 0:5 in the Extra League matches against Sokol and SkyUp, as well as in the return match of the 1/4 finals of the Ukrainian Cup against Hurricane (the first meeting – 0:9).

This season, Ryatuvalnyk has not won a single match in the Extra League and is in last place in the standings. The team from the city of Romny tied five times and suffered 20 defeats.

Early in the morning of February 24, 2022, Russia fired rockets and aerial bombardment of most Ukrainian cities, and then launched a full-scale military invasion. The Russian war against Ukraine has continued for the 764th day.
