26 March Ukrainian national team in Wroclaw in the decisive match of the qualifying playoffs Euro 2024 beat Iceland and reached the final part of the tournament. “The Tribune of Heroes Foundation has done a very important thing – it has united the families of fallen football fans from all over Ukraine into one big family. Artem lived by football since childhood, and from the age of 15 he took part in the fan movement. The interesting life of ultras can only be understood by equally courageous, motivated and purposeful people– said the mother of fallen Hero Artem Medvedev, FC Vorskla fan Svetlana Medvedeva. – I was lucky to be involved in the victory of the Ukrainian team. Such trips provide enormous psychological support and help us continue the work of our relatives, because Football and the fan movement itself were an important component of their lives.”

“Such events are important not only from a sporting point of view, but also from the point of view of conveying important messages to the football audience that we must remember the fallen fans, we must also remember those who are now in captivity. These events are also important for the families of fallen fans, who, thanks to such trips, can continue the work of their relatives and receive positive emotions. It unites and helps cope with grief. We do our best to ensure that families are not left alone with their misfortune— Tikhon Amosov, co-founder of the Tribune of Heroes Foundation, comments on the trip. — The football family suffered great losses during the war – many representatives of fan movements and football players went to the front, some of them returned “on the shield”. And our goal is to preserve their memory and honor their exploits.”
