Lucescu: In the Champions League we played on an equal footing with the giants and gained experience

Romanian specialist has been leading the people of Kiev for two years

Dynamo coach Mircea Lucescu praised the performance of his players in the last Champions League. The club congratulated the coaching staff on the anniversary of the start of their work.

“You solved the problem, you had a great desire. But there was not enough experience, which can be seen from the results. We played on equal terms with all the giants that were in our group.

“Now you have accumulated this experience. Most of you are young players, if you try as a team, you can achieve good results,” said the mentor to the players.

Mircea Lucescu officially took charge of Dynamo two years ago. In the last Champions League, Dynamo finished last in the group with Bayern, Barcelona and Benfica.

In the first match of the Champions League qualification, the people of Kiev played a 0-0 draw with Fenerbahce. The return match will take place on July 27 in Istanbul. The start is at 20:00.
