Earlier, Cheryshev’s agency told that the footballer would most likely continue his career in another club.
— If there is mutual interest, we will discuss with Denis, but so far there are no negotiations. We are not actively considering Cheryshev,” Melik-Guseinov said, as quoted by Metaratings.ru.
Cheryshev has been playing for Venice since 2022. This season, the 33-year-old midfielder has made nine appearances in all tournaments for the Italian Serie B club, without scoring a goal. The Russian’s contract with Venice runs until the summer of 2024, with the possibility of extending it for another year.
