The Ukrainian is confident in his abilities
Ukrainian junior middleweight boxer Sergei Bogachuk (23-1, 23 KO) commented on his upcoming fight with Brian Mendoza (22-3-0, 16 KOs).
“I’m very happy to be here and I’m going to show my fans and the world an incredible fight. Mendoza is a great fighter with experience, but I’m only concentrating on the fight and not on anything else.”
“This is a big fight in my career. I have gained experience and am 100% ready. “I’m ready for big fights and I intend to show everything I can.”
The fight for the WBC interim junior middleweight title between Bogachuk and Mendoza will take place on the night of March 30-31 in Las Vegas. The fight will be broadcast on the YouTube channel of the promotion company Premier Boxing, starting at 00:00.
Bogachuk was supposed to fight for the full WBC championship belt against Sebastian Fundora. However, the fight fell through, as the American was appointed to replace Keith Thurman in the fight against Tim Tszyu.
The fight between Fundora and Tszyu for the WBO and WBC junior middleweight titles will be the main event of the boxing evening in Las Vegas.
Bogachuk holds the WBC Continental Americas title and is ranked second in the WBC rankings. Mendoza is in 8th position in the ranking.
In his last fight, Bogachuk knocked out Ghanaian Patrick Allotey in the first round. For the Ukrainian, this was the second defense of the WBC Continental Americas title.
