Ukrainian Football Association held for the first time in history draw of lots to determine the refereeing teams for the matches of Ukrainian teams. Today, by lot, they were appointed arbitrators for fights 1/2 finals of the Ukrainian Cup.
Let us remind you that the new president of the UAF, Andrei Shevchenko, spoke about the introduction of a draw for the appointment of referees. Today, the Arbitrators Committee tested this procedure.
The participants in the draw were the head of the Ukrainian Premier League, Evgeniy Diky, and the president of the Professional Football League, Alexander Kadenko.

The current winner of the Ukrainian Cup is Dynamo, which narrowly beat Zorya in the 2021 final. In the 2021/22 season, the tournament was ended early at the 1/4 final stage due to the full-scale invasion of Russian troops in Ukraine.
In the 2022/23 season, the Ukrainian Cup was not played due to the busy schedule of the Ukrainian championship, matches of the national team and the participation of Ukrainian clubs in European cups.
The final of the Ukrainian Cup 2023/24 will be held in Rivne at the Avangard Arena on May 15.
