Football player of Moscow “Spartak” Quincy Promesa shaved their heads in a prison in Dubai (UAE), reports Sportnieuws.nl with reference to De Telegraaf.
On Friday, media reported that Russian authorities had sent a request to the United Arab Emirates to extradite the player.
— The Dutchman must survive in a cell for six people, he sleeps on one of three bunk beds. In addition to the six people who have a bed, 10 to 20 people also sleep on the cell floor.
There is no place for recreation in the complex where Promes takes place. In the corridor, he can watch television with other prisoners and is allowed out three times a day, but he is not allowed to exercise or work. As for food, there are no vegetables or fruits for the prisoners; air conditioning works constantly in the complex.
When the Dutchman went to prison, he was shaved, he was also forbidden from growing his hair and receiving visitors, the document states.
Promes was arrested in Dubai in mid-March at the request of Dutch prosecutors and is currently in prison in the United Arab Emirates. In February, the Amsterdam court recognized the player “Spartacus” guilty in a drug trafficking case and sentenced him to six years in prison, a decision Promes’ defense appealed. Last summer, a 32-year-old Dutch man was sentenced to 18 months in prison for attacking his cousin.
