“The match between Krylya Sovetov and Zenit should be great, there will be a lot of goals” – Andrey Nikolaev

Former striker “Zenith” Andrey Nikolaev believes that the St. Petersburg team is the favorite in the match of the 22nd round of the WORLD RPL with “The Wings of the Soviets” and also expects a large number of goals scored.

Live broadcast of the match can be viewed on the MATCH PREMIER TV channel, the broadcast begins at 1:50 p.m. (Moscow time).

— I think it will be psychologically easier for Zenit in the match against Krylia: there are a lot of foreigners in the team, and I think that recent events do not affect them as much as the Russian players from Krylia. Well, Zenit must remain in first place – and for this there are all the prerequisites: the lineup, a deep bench and the desire of the same foreign players to prove themselves. The match in Samara should therefore be great, because the “Wings” never stay on the defensive. I think there will be a lot of goals and I hope Zenit will win in the end.

— Is the Wings’ start to the second half of the season disappointing?

– This is the expected story. With their mid-level players, with their youth, everything is unstable. And there must be slowdowns. The same Ivich failed to keep Krasnodar, even with a very decent squad, on the same wavelength as in the first round. But the “Wings” still create competition for all the big clubs. And after such a failed start, they will be overmotivated against Zenit and will want to prove themselves. But in this situation, it will probably be even easier for St. Petersburg, because the opponent will not remain on the defensive. And the Zenit players, if necessary, can play as number two, give the ball, and for them it will only be a plus, ”Nikolaev quotes RB Sport.

Zenit leads the RPL standings with 40 points, Krylya Sovetov (29) is in ninth place.
