The Vernidub team scored both goals in the second half
In the match of the 22nd round of the Ukrainian Championship Krivbass won away Veres with a score of 2:0.
In the first half there was an equal game, but before the break the hosts remained in the minority – Marko Mrvaljevic received a straight red card for the go-ahead signal. Yuriy Vernidub’s team took advantage of their numerical advantage at the beginning of the second half – after a great attack, Alexander Kucherenko cut the ball into his own goal. And Maxim Lunev, who took advantage of the goalkeeper’s mistake, consolidated the guests’ success at the end of the game.
Krivbass scored 46 points and is in second place in the UPL standings, equal to Shakhtar, but having played two fewer matches. Veres is in 14th position.
In the next round of the Ukrainian championship, Krivbass will play against Vorskla, and Veres will play with Obolon.
